On the 25th anniversary of “Happy Gilmore”, Adam Sandler proved he still has it.

The film shows Sandler as Happy Gilmore, an aspiring hockey player who never made it and instead stumbles over golf. He develops a rivalry with, uh, the confident golf pro Shooter McGavin, played by Christopher McDonald. And, of course, Shooter would not be silent after being called by Happy.

Sandler’s swing has been emulated by hackers – and even some professionals – for years and years. Of course, some of the other classic lines – like, when a putt doesn’t fall, scream, like Sandler did: “Why don’t you just go home? This is your home. Are you really good for your home? Answer me!” more … and more … and more were repeated.
Ben Stiller, who played the angry ordinance role in the nursing home where Happy’s grandmother lived, came in to help celebrate the big day.
It’s a beautiful balance, Mr. Gilmore. Congratulations on your birthday and for being such a loving grandson. So happy to be a small part of taking good care of her during her “golden years”. 😉
