Adam Sandler revisits ‘Happy Gilmore’ to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary – Deadline

Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore still has the skills 25 years after the debut of Dennis Dugan’s film. Sandler celebrated Happy Gilmore ‘s 25th birthday on Twitter, showing his golfing skills in a video.

“It’s been 25 years since I did this, let’s see what happens. Sniper McGavin, this is for you, ”says Sandler, dedicating his impressive shot to his on-screen rival. “I’m not lying to you. This is broken. Crushed. It went very well. You are dead, sniper.”

In the film, Sandler stars as a retired hockey player who seeks to put his golf skills to the test to save his grandmother’s home. Sandler starred alongside Julie Bowen, Frances Bay and Christopher McDonald, who acted as the sniper McGavin.

However, Sandler was not the only one channeling his Happy Gilmore character to celebrate the film. Shortly after Hubie Halloween video of the actor, McDonald filmed his own response to Sandler’s golf challenge and shared on Twitter.

“Have a nice trip, Gilmore. 25 years, huh? Let’s see if it’s a snipers tour, ”said McDonald before throwing a golf ball into a glass on the floor.

“Thanks to all the fans and thanks to you, Adam Sandler, and why don’t you just meet me on the 9th lawn at 9, Gilmore? Oh and Gllmore, wear something beautiful, ”McDonald continued.
