Adam Sandler recreates ‘Happy Gilmore’ swing

One day he will be dethroned by a Air Bud sequel in which the dog learns to play golf, but until then, Happy Gilmore is one of the best golf-based comedies of all time. And today, Adam Sandler’s classic turns 25, which is approximately two entire Air Buds Life expectancy. For this important occasion in the history of cinema and sport, Sandler went to the green, where he filmed himself taking his golf swing. “Okay, it’s been 25 years since I did this. Let’s see what happens. I’m scared, ”he says to the camera as he walks away to take the picture. “Sniper McGavin, this is for you,” he says, referring to his rival in the cinema. Sandler gets up and hits the ball with his cue off the screen, turning back to the camera to say, “I’m not lying to you – this is crushed, crushed! It went very well. You are dead, sniper. Ben Stiller appeared in the responses to say, “Congratulations on your birthday and for being such a loving grandchild. So happy to be a small part of her care during her ‘golden years’ ”, with a winking face. Sandler still hasn’t responded with a hot cup of shut up.

Update, 19h: The shooter himself (Christopher McDonald) responded to Sandler’s tweet with a video of his own. “Let’s see if it’s Shooter’s tour,” he says, before taking a swing at what looks like his living room. He then thanks the fans and ends up challenging Sandler to meet him on the 9th green at 9:00.
