Adam Morrison goes crazy after Gonzaga’s miracle in the Final Four

The only thing Adam Morrison could do was scream.

The former Gonzaga star is currently part of his alma mater’s radio team, and Morrison went crazy when freshman Jalen Suggs hit a 3-point basket on the overtime bell on Saturday night against UCLA to keep the Bulldogs unbeaten and put them in the NCAA tournament championship game on Monday against Baylor.

As the partner plays the game, Tom Hudson explains the frantic ending sequence and the immediate celebration, Morrison, 36, can be heard shouting “Yes!” and “Wow!”

A tearful Morrison was on the other side of a painful loss to UCLA in Sweet 16 of the 2006 tournament, with the Bruins scoring the game’s 11 points for a 73-71 win. Morrison was a selection of America’s top team and co-player of the year nationally that season with Duke’s JJ Redick.

Leader Gonzaga (31-0) could become the first Division I men’s team to complete an undefeated season since Indiana in 1976 on Monday night against Baylor (27-2). It will be Gonzaga’s second appearance in the championship game, after losing in the finals to North Carolina in 2017.
