Acer Touts Trio of 4K and 1440p high refresh rate game monitors

Game monitors tend to prefer lower resolutions and higher refresh rates, but catering to a wide variety of users on the market, Acer has also developed monitors for gamers who want higher resolutions with the same high refresh rates. Scheduled to launch in its Nitro and Predator families, for CES 2021 the company is promoting a mix of new and previously announced (ie, delayed) monitors, which will provide high resolutions and faster refresh rates that make game monitors so smooth. In addition, the price seems solid.

Acer Nitro XV282K KV – UHD and FreeSync with HDMI 2.1

First introduced in September in China, Acer is bringing its first HDMI 2.1 monitor, the Acer Nitro XV282K KV, to North America. Despite a handful of name, it is clearly aimed at the latest generation of consoles, specifically the Xbox Series X, as this UHD monitor features VESA Variable Refresh (FreeSync) and HDMI 2.1, making it a perfect choice for anyone looking to pair the console with a high refresh rate UHD screen.

The 28-inch panel offers 3840×2160 resolution and refresh rate up to 144 Hz with AMD FreeSync support. Acer also claims a 1 ms response time. This IPS screen also offers 90% of the P3 color range, and Acer claims a contrast of 100,000,000: 1. The screen is rated for HDR 400 and comes with an included HDMI 2.1 cable for easy connection.

The Acer Nitro XV282K KV will be available in the United States in May, starting at $ 899.99 USD.

Acer Predator XB273U NX – QHD and G-SYNC

Second is a brand new monitor from Acer, the 27-inch Acer Predator XB273U NX. The 2560×1440 screen features Acer’s Agile-Splendor IPS panel and can achieve an impressive 275 Hz overclocking update.

It also supports HDR and up to 95% of the P3 range. Acer says that the 0.5 ms response time in transitions from gray to gray, and coupled with the high refresh rate, should provide a very smooth experience. This monitor offers variable refresh rate NVIDIA G-SYNC. It also introduces the new NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer, which measures the time between a click of the mouse and the actual pixel change, and is a feature aimed at the professional audience for gameplay analysis.

The Acer Predator XB273U NX will be available in May from $ 1099.99 USD.

Acer Predator XB323QK NV – UHD and G-SYNC

Finally, Acer is also offering an update to its giant 31.5-inch G-Sync monitor, the Acer Predator XB323QK NV. This monitor was first announced in June 2020 with a shipping date in September, but has since been postponed to May this year.

Aimed at the top of the market, the Acer Predator XB323QK NV offers a high-update UHD screen with a resolution of 3840×2160 and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. With Sporting DisplayHDR 400 certification, the monitor can produce 90% of the P3 range.

Like the other monitors being promoted today, the Acer Predator XB323QK NV will also be available in May. Prices start at $ 1199.99 USD.
