AARP conducts municipal vaccination campaign on Friday by phone to seniors in South Carolina | Local News

South Carolina residents will have the chance to ask vaccine-related questions to state officials on Friday.

AARP will conduct a live statewide question and answer session by phone at City Hall on Friday, February 19, at 10 am. The call will help provide information to older Carolinians about the COVID-19 vaccine and the distribution process in South Carolina.

In addition to AARP officials, others will be on the call, including SC Governor Henry McMaster; Dr. Edward Simmer, director of the Department of Health and Environmental Control of SC; and Dr. Linda Bell, a state epidemiologist.

Participants will be able to ask their questions related to COVID-19 to these guests.

The call will take the form of a radio talk show over the phone. Residents can participate by calling 877-229-8493 and entering PIN 114681. Listeners can also watch the program live on the AARP SC Facebook page.
