Aaron Rodgers trolled the Packers’ field kick in ‘Jeopardy!’

Aaron Rodgers was unable to survive an episode as the host of “Jeopardy!” without being trolled.

During the Jeopardy Final, champion Scott Shewfelt did not know the answer to the question, so he wrote a question to Rodgers.

“Who wanted to kick that field goal?” Rodgers read it aloud, much to the audience’s laughter.

The question was about the NFC championship game against the Buccaneers, when Packers coach Matt LaFleur chose to kick a field goal on the fourth descent within the 10-yard line instead of trying. Green Bay were down 31-23, with just 2:09 to go, and the disconcerting decision took the ball out of Rodgers ‘hands forever after Tom Brady converted a few first downs to seal the Buccaneers’ victory.

Rodgers famously disagreed with the call, saying after the game that “it wasn’t my decision”. He was a good sportsman on Monday, however.

“That’s a good question,” he teased. “It should be correct, but unfortunately for this game today, that is incorrect.”

The Packers quarterback teased the moment before his show as a host, telling ESPN, “wait until you see the first show and what the champion wrote”. His prediction that the timing would go viral was correct.

Rodgers will host the show for two weeks as they alternate the guest hosts after Alex Trebek’s death in November 2020. In an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers said he would be interested in taking over as a presenter in time. integral.
