Aaron Rodgers is opening up about his recent engagement to actress Shailene Woodley.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback, 37, said the proposal was one of the best things that happened to him last year.
In a conversation on Instagram Live with Zenith Watches CEO Julien Tornare, Rodgers said, “I’m recently engaged, so I’ve been enjoying this part of my life.”
“Obviously, this is the best thing that happened to me last year,” added the NFL star, who is a brand ambassador.

Rodgers also talked about his plans for the future and that includes children.
The “next big challenge will be being a father,” he said. I am “in the age group in which many of my close friends from high school and college are now parents and have a family of their own,” he added.

Rodgers quickly clarified that children are not “in the immediate future, but definitely something I’m looking forward to, it will be a very fun challenge”.
Woodley, 29, confirmed his engagement in an appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”.
“I never thought I would be engaged to someone who made a living throwing balls,” joked the actress.

The “Big Little Lies” star added that “I hadn’t been to a football game yet and before I met him, I had never seen a football game before … I really didn’t grow up with sports, especially American sports, it was never really on my radar. “
Woodley added: “I don’t know him as the football guy, I know him as the nerd who wants to host ‘Jeopardy!’, That’s the guy I know.”

Rodgers has previously been linked to actress Olivia Munn and NASCAR to Danica Patrick, while Woodley dated rugby player Ben Volavola.
