Aaron Rodgers said he loves to play at Soldier Field. Why wouldn’t he go?
The Packers quarterback is 9-3 there, including wins in eight of the last nine games, and has released 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
“It will always be a fight at that stadium,” said Rodgers, through Mark Potash of Chicago Sun-Times. “Everything, from the grass being different to hearing your favorite son singing the national anthem so many times and the crowd going crazy. These chills over the years have made that place a really special environment, and I have a lot of respect for the organization, the fans and the team. And I’m excited about this week’s test. “
This time, however, the Bears will not have a full Soldier Field to help them against their hated rival. Chicago needs a win to reach the playoffs, while the Packers are playing for first place.
