Aaron Rodgers’ future with the Green Bay Packers is an underlying storyline for the NFC Championship on Sunday.
Rodgers’ game during the 2020 season ruled out any fuss about Jordan Love taking over as the starting quarterback of the future, as the 37-year-old looked like he could play for another 20 years. Rodgers is under contract for the 2021 season with the potential to leave before 2022, according to Spotrac.

The Packers quarterback talked about playing the conference title game for the second season in a row and its future on Wednesday.
“I’m always trying to be there, especially this year, as much as anything, and enjoy the moments,” said Rodgers, via ESPN.
“I hope there are more opportunities, but I don’t know. I mean, I really don’t know. These things are out of my control. My future is a beautiful mystery, I think. The present is a gift to be able to stay in the moment and have gratitude for being in this situation again, and being with the crowd and having fans in our stadium and maybe snow in an NFC championship game. I will definitely enjoy these moments, and don’t worry about what happens in the future. “

He added: “I am grateful for the opportunity to lead these guys again, for playing the way I want to, for being called to a bigger leadership role. These things are very, very important to me.
