A Pennsylvania woman allegedly created fake images of cheerleaders to intimidate them, according to criminal complaint

Raffaela Spone was charged with three counts of cyber harassment of a child and three counts of harassment, both misdemeanors, according to the complaint against her.

Raffaella Spone is seen in a backup photo provided by the Bucks County Public Prosecutor's Office.
Spone reportedly bullied at least three girls who were members of the Doylestown Victory Vipers cheerleading academy during the summer, creating fake images that made it look like the girls were “naked, drinking alcohol and / or vaporizing” and sending messages from phone numbers purchased online urging a girl to “kill herself”, according to the complaint.

In December, a search warrant was issued for an IP address linked to the account used to buy the numbers, which took the police to Spone’s home, according to a statement attached to the complaint.

Robert Birch, Spone’s lawyer, told CNN that he did not see the evidence against his client, despite requesting it two weeks ago. The complaint was filed on March 3.

“I can’t comment on the evidence because I didn’t see anything. We have an absolute intention of defending it and aggressively pursuing it, to clear her name on it,” said Birch.

Spone’s daughter was once a member of the same cheerleading team as the girls who were allegedly harassed, but the daughter left in 2019, according to Birch.

Spone is due to appear in court on March 30, according to his attorney and the Bucks County Attorney’s Office.

The cheerleading academy did not respond to CNN’s requests for comment.
