A look at the Satterfield offensive coordinator’s resume

After Mike Bobo decided to leave South Carolina for Auburn, Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer quickly articulated and contracted Marcus Satterfield as your offensive coordinator.

Although Satterfield comes from the NFL, having spent a year on the Carolina Panthers’ offensive coaching staff as an assistant coach on the offensive line, the 44-year-old has spent 10 seasons in college as an offensive coordinator and two more as a head coach.

Satterfield was the head of the UT Martin attack in 2006 and 2007, followed by four years at UT Chattanooga (2009-12) and three years at Temple (2013-15). After his two years as the head coach of Tennessee Tech, he had a brief stint as an offensive coordinator for the eastern state of Tennessee and then returned to the former Temple coach. Matt Rhule in Baylor for two seasons (2018-19). Rhule has just completed his first season as head coach of the Panthers.
