A Japanese company made the Monster Hunter Rise launch day an official holiday

A Japanese company has seen so many employees taking the day off from Monster Hunter Rise that it is giving all its employees time off. Stealth on Twitter, Masaki Hiyama, from technology developer Mark-On Ltd, realized that many company employees were asking to take the day off on March 26, when Monster Hunter Rise launches worldwide on the Nintendo Switch. In response, the company’s leadership decided to make the day an official holiday, assuming that your employees would not be able to focus on their work.

Huffington Post Japan spoke to Hiyama-san by phone, where they said that several employees had already requested a vacation on the 26th to be able to play the new Monster Hunter game, which led them to make the day an official holiday. Naturally, Mark-On’s employees were grateful for the decision, and many Monster Hunter fans on Twitter have wished their own companies to implement a similar policy.

The Monster Hunter series has had incredible success in Japan, with each new release getting huge attention. It is no different from Dragon Quest, which traditionally sees so much interest on launch days that Square began launching new tickets on Saturdays to prevent children from skipping school – a fact that has become its own urban myth.

Here is our final preview of Monster Hunter Rise before the game’s release later this week. If you just can’t wait, here are 24 things you need to know about the game that should help you get ready before you start hunting on Friday.
