Washington Capitals donned their new navy blue shirt for the first time on Tuesday against the New York Islanders. The alternatives are inspired by the Capitals’ 2015 Winter Classic shirt (the W coat of arms) and the 2018 shirt from the Stadium Series (stripes and colors). The Capitals will wear these third jerseys on seven different occasions this season and will keep them in their repertoire for the next three seasons.
The Capitals posted a lot of photos and videos of warming up and, man, they looked fantastic on the ice.
