OCEAN CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) – A major 4-alarm fire broke out in Ocean City, New Jersey.
Action Cam showed firefighters battling the flames shortly after 8 am on Saturday at the Boardwalk on 10th Street.
The viewer’s video showed strong flames and black smoke rising up the boardwalk.
Firefighters could be seen extinguishing the flames on the roof of a building. Nearby businesses include The Hamburger Construction Company, Pushpa’s Beach Jewelry, k-pop !, Steel’s Fudge and Prep’s Pizzeria & Dairy Bar.
The Ferris wheel at Castaway Cove, in Playland, was disappearing as the smoke increased.
Firefighters could be heard shouting at passers-by: “Guys, you have to stay behind!”
There is no word on injuries.
