You may be experiencing some Marvel Cinematic Universe withdrawn in the wake of Final episode of WandaVision, but don’t despair. Another dose of Marvel success Disney Plus on Friday, in the form of a making-of Assembled documentary, to fill the gap before the March 19 premiere The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
The special looks at the show’s design, how the team mirrored the old school sitcom movie production methods and the challenges of presenting entire episodes in front of a live studio audience. One of the most delicious parts sees Frozen songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez raving about the classic sitcom themed songs that inspired the intro songs.
It’s the first in a series of backstage specials, with upcoming episodes about The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, Black Widow and Hawkeye. The episodes will fall “shortly after the theatrical release and the end of the series,” according to Marvel.
The Mandalorian, Star Wars’s first live action show at Disney Plus, also got backstage documentaries after the end of each season – I hope that all of your main shows will receive the same treatment.
