released a teaser for a series called Made for love, which can give you a good reason to avoid getting too close to tech billionaires. Cristin Milioti plays Hazel Green, a woman who escapes a decade-long oppressive marriage by fleeing to her hometown in the desert. Just one problem: Hazel’s husband implanted a surveillance chip in his mind.
Byron Gogol (a character with a wonderful name played by Billy Magnussen) can use the chip to track and observe Hazel and keep track of his “emotional data”. And somehow this is a comedy series. It is based on the eponymous novel by Alissa Nutting.
If the dystopian, -The esca premise left you sad, at least you can enjoy Ray Romano, who co-stars as Hazel’s father, giving a unique version of Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” in the trailer. Oh, and your character’s partner seems to be one. Everything is happening here.
Made for love will arrive at HBO Max in April.
