Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is just like you and me. Supposing you made at least one Zoom call during the pandemic from your bed at home.

The Warriors’ face gave its pre-game interview to ESPN on Sunday night before the Warriors-Lakers prime-time encounter with Jorge Sedano of what appeared to be his bed. Pillows and a really chic-looking wooden headboard were in sight during Curry’s pre-game conversation about the squeaky Dubs.

While resting in a comfortable sweatshirt, Steph talked about everything from the Warriors trying to find his team’s identity to being thankful that he was healthy after losing 58 games with a broken left hand last season. (“This is the longest time I’m away from the game,” he said. “… I missed you.”)

Curry also praised Draymond Green, whom he called the NBA’s best defensive player shortly after Green received indirect praise from Jalen Rose and Jay Williams during ESPN’s “NBA Countdown” pre-match program. “I think he just wants basketball to be the only thing to worry about,” said Curry of his former teammate. “Just look at the way he is dominating the game at both ends.”

The Dubs sniper, currently third in the NBA in scoring, ended the interview by hammering the issue of food insecurity and the Eat Learn Play foundation’s attempt to combat it. Since COVID-19 was first launched in the United States, the Curry Foundation has provided 16 million free meals to needy families in the Bay Area.
