
When The Pokémon Company announced remakes of the Nintendo DS titles Diamond and Pearl earlier this week, the most notable difference was obviously the art style.
All the sprite work in the original games has been replaced by beautiful 3D graphics in Brilliant diamond and brilliant pearl. Obviously, there has been a lot of discussion about it since then, and we even took a vote yesterday to see what everyone thought.
Today we present you a side-by-side comparison of the 2006 games against the versions of Switch 2021, courtesy of GameXplain. This clip includes a look at normal playback speed, which is followed by slower playback.
As you can see, there are some things that don’t even appear in the original games – that are completely new (like a Nintendo Switch in the main character’s room, instead of a Wii) and there are some things there that apparently confirm The content of the Platinum version will be introduced. Developer ILCA and The Pokémon Company claim that the cities and routes of the originals were carefully preserved in the remake. Would you agree on the basis of the comparison video above? Tell us below.
