Actress Abigail Breslin shared news of her father’s death via Instagram, writing that he passed away after hiring Covid-19. She posted five images of her father, Michael, along with a long caption that she said was “difficult to write”.
She wrote that she is in “shock and devastation” after learning of her death.
“At 18:32 EST, my sweet, perfect, incredible, heroic and wonderful dada passed away after my family and I said goodbye,” wrote Breslin in the post published on Friday.
She added that her father was “a hilarious, turbulent, tenacious, rebellious, intelligent, sweet and incredible human being. He loved life. He loved his family. He loved the simple things. “
In another post published on February 10, she shared the news that her father had tested positive for Covid-19 and put on a respirator.
Breslin told his followers on Instagram that his father “loved a cup of coffee (black, heated for 66 seconds). He LOVED a good Knish (but ONLY in winter). He loved barbecue (and although we loved brown mustard, he only wanted French yellow).
“He loved Breyer ice cream (strawberry, vanilla and NEO style chocolate). He loved the doo-wop songs, specifically “I Wonder Why” by Dion & The Belmonts and “Under The Boardwalk” by The Drifters ”.
Writing that his father was an “animal lover”, Breslin said he always enjoyed hearing his stories about his pets.
She added: “He loved taking pictures and flying on planes and good dinners and music from the 50s and 60s and good Kenyan mountain sofas and coffee and funny YouTube videos and e-mail messages and weird poems and politics and he loved me and he loved my brothers and he loved my mother. “
Finishing the exciting post, she wrote: “And we loved him. And we always will. I miss you, Dad. I can not wait to see you again. I will never, never, never forget you. To the moon and back to the die … Love, yours forever, Abs. ”
