If this leak from the iMac 2021 is real, then color we dizzy. It looks like Apple may be going back to its roots and extending the color options we saw on iPad Air 2020.
This comes to us from Jon Prosser, Front Page Tech, through a video that we’ve incorporated below. In the clip, he also reveals the latest Pro Mac, the Mac Pro mini. Yes, now that Apple is switching to Apple Silicon, it will shake up its entire line of designs with the new freedom to abandon Intel.
Prosser shared renderings of the Concept Creator based on what he heard about Apple’s current prototype designs. Although they look a little more blocked than the iMac 2020, the big news is that the blue, green, pink gold, silver and space gray colors of the iPad Air are in Apple’s plans.
The doors seen at the rear are based only on what we saw earlier, he notes.
The big caveat here is that these are just prototypes. They are still nothing that Apple is married to. Still, they look great enough to produce and reintroduce color in the iMac line. We haven’t talked about the bondi blue color in a while, but the iMac debuted with touches of color, and the return of that just makes sense.
Prosser also revealed that the supposedly small Mac Pro (the Mac Pro mini) will “almost look like the old one [Power Mac] G4 Cubes “, not the previous leak – which looked like a smaller Mac Pro.
Prosser described the small Mac Pro as three to four Mac Minis stacked on top of each other. The specific words from its sources were “computing unit at the bottom, large heat sink at the top”.
This new Mac Pro can show how wild and weird Apple can be now that it is changing the rules on how Intel-based systems need to be designed. We are curious to see what Apple announces at its upcoming events, so stay tuned to hear about the latest Apple rumors.
