“The View” co-host Meghan McCain attacked Governor Andrew Cuomo on Thursday as a “pervert who harassed women” and called for his immediate resignation in light of the recent sexual harassment charges against the New York Democrat.
Cuomo denied allegations that he sexually harassed former aide Lindsey Boylan, including once suggesting that they “play strip poker”. His office on Wednesday dismissed Boylan’s claims as “simply false”.
McCain was quick to point out the governor’s previous comments on allegations of sexual misconduct, highlighting his support for Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, whom he publicly said in 2018: “We believe in you and we will fight for you.”
AS A CHARGE OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT FOR OLD HELP
“By his own metric, ‘believe all women’, he is a pervert who harassed women and should resign immediately,” said McCain.
“We cannot live in a country and at a time when Democrats say that all women believe, unless their policy does not align.
The conservative host attacked Senator Kirsten Gillibrand – a staunch defender of women’s rights who attacked former Senate colleague Al Franken, D-Minn., After her own allegations of misconduct in 2018 – for her remarkable silence on the issue.
“The silence of so many people in the media and so many Democratic politicians, like Kirsten Gillibrand, who was at the forefront of all cases of sexual harassment and the #MeToo movement, she said nothing today,” argued McCain.
ABC, CBS, NBC AVOID SEXUAL HARASSMENT CLAIMS AGAINST CUOMO
The host also blamed mainstream media networks for ignoring the bomb’s claims after weeks of minimizing the governor’s nursing home scandal.
“So apparently, if you are Governor Cuomo and your brother is the host of a major CNN program, and you are a Democrat, then he has a complete double standard,” she said.
Chris Cuomo, along with CNN, made an unprecedented effort to minimize and deflect controversies surrounding the New York governor, with the far-left network giving developments to the nursing home scandal with little or no airtime – avoiding any mention of Boylan’s claims of sexual harassment.

“I have to tell you, in addition to this program, there are a lot of people in the media, on CNN and MSNBC and elsewhere who are very, very quiet when it comes to any bad behavior towards Governor Cuomo,” said McCain.
“I just think it is completely hypocritical.”
