Sony giving free games to PS4 in return for Play At Home initiative

After giving Journey and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for free last year as part of its Play At Home scheme to fight the coronavirus pandemic, Sony has confirmed that the initiative will return in the coming months. The biggest lesson so far is that you can redeem a copy of Ratchet & Clank on PlayStation 4 completely free of charge from March 1, 2021 on PlayStation Store. This offer will last until the end of the month, by which time a new offer will have already taken its place.

As of March 25, 2021, another agreement will grant extended access to Funimation to new subscribers. “What we describe today is just the beginning of what is reserved for Play At Home. In the coming weeks, we will share more details about free games and entertainment offers that will be launched for our PlayStation community,” said PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan.

In these historic times, the PlayStation team wanted to thank the community for giving something in return. Nowadays, we could all use something to look forward to and another reason to remain socially distant safely, so we are happy to be able to offer a free selection of great games and some entertainment offers.
