Carson Wentz finally broke his silence.
Previously, we hadn’t heard directly from nowold one Eagles Quarterback (plus an ad on Twitter) since his post-game press conference, after being expelled to Jalen Hurts in Week 13. That was on December 6th.
On Friday night, more than 24 hours after news of his deal with the Indianapolis Colts, Wentz used his official Instagram account to say goodbye to Philadelphia.
As expected, nothing particularly juicy here. No notable omission, no explanation as to why he wanted to leave. Farewell message from a fairly standard professional athlete.
Here is the Bible verse that Wentz referred to if you were curious:
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a large cloud of witnesses, let us throw away everything that hinders us and the sin that so easily entangles us. And let us run with perseverance the career that was traced to us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and finisher of the faith. For the joy that was proposed to him, he endured the cross, despising his shame, and sat at the right hand of the throne of God.
Miles Sanders, Dallas Goedert, Avonte Maddox, Boston Scott, Nathan Gerry and Kamu Grugier-Hill were among the former companions who commented on his post.

Wentz already looks very happy to be joining the Colts.
THE #Colts players are looking forward to having Carson Wentz as their QB. Whether it’s Kenny Moore contacting him yesterday or Wentz himself contacting players like Julian Blackmon today, they are ready to work.
