The Food Bank of San Antonio needs more than 500 volunteers to help in 7 mega mobile food distribution locations this weekend

SANTO ANTÓNIO – The Food Bank of San Antonio is preparing to provide emergency assistance to community members in need after being affected by the recent winter storms. More than 500 volunteers are needed to assist seven mega mobile food distribution locations over the weekend.

Pre-registration for food bank support is recommended for those who have access to the internet. However, those who cannot register before the event will not be refused and will have access to food while supplies last, the food bank said.

“Our community is suffering. We have been serving emergency food needs throughout the week for the homeless and those in shelters in our community. Now is the time to reach people at home through our home deliveries and deliveries, ”said Eric Cooper, president and CEO of San Antonio Food Bank, in a written statement.

People can pre-register for https://safoodbank.org/cvresponse/getfood/. For more information on mega food distribution locations this weekend, call the San Antonio Food Bank helpline at 210-431-8326 during normal business hours on Friday or Saturday.
