At least seven people were shot near a Philadelphia subway station on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The shooting broke out at about 2:50 pm near SEPTA’s Olney Transportation Center and a person was arrested, police in the 35th District of the Philadelphia Police Department said.
Two victims were shot in the back, one was injured in the ankle, one was shot in the leg and one was shot in the arm, police said. It was not immediately clear where the other two were injured.
Six victims were rushed to the Albert Einstein Medical Center and one to Temple University Hospital, officials said.
A suspect was captured and two firearms recovered, police said.
