It’s my hometown FFXIV … in anime form
Square Enix just can’t help it when it comes to adaptation Final fantasy anime games. It’s amazing, in fact, that there are extra things to discover (especially with the FFXV shorts, which were arguably more consistent than several bows in the game), but this time, it’s a little more fleeting.
Shared through Final Fantasy XIV Korea YouTube channel, the video starts with a player character waking up in Limsa Lominsa, a radiant seaside town (also my hometown) and one of the main centers of The Realm Reborn. It’s all incredibly authentic, even Aetheryte, the character styles and Bard’s random street performance. As a reminder, FFXIV has had anime ads before, since 2019.
As for this recent one below, there are a ton of great photos here, most of which can be replicated in the real game, from elaboration to random jungle training with your chocobo companion. I can’t wait to see how great this will all look (and feel, in terms of frame rate) on PS5.
