Lenny Kravitz joins Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel in the upcoming action comedy Shotgun Wedding

Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel have a few more guests at the shotgun wedding, with Lenny Kravitz signing.

The 56-year-old singer and actor signed on to star in the Lionsgate action comedy, according to Deadline.

Also signing, according to the Tuessday report, are Cheech Marin, D’Arcy Carden, Selena Tan, Desmin Borges and Alex Mallari.

The story revolves around Grace (Lopez) and Tom (Duhamel), who are preparing to reunite their two obstinate families for their destination wedding.

What families do not know is that the couple is afraid, but everything becomes secondary when families are suddenly taken hostage.

Now Grace and Tom must find a way to save their families, without killing themselves in the process.

Kravitz will play Sean, described as ‘Grace’s ex-traveler’, while Marin plays Grace’s father, Robert.

Carden plays Robert’s new wife, Harriet, while Tan plays Marge, the head of the resort where the wedding will be held.

Borges is playing Ricky, Tom’s ‘permanent and embarrassing best childhood friend’.

Mallari completes the cast as a ‘pirate’, with the report adding that production is scheduled to begin this month.

Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) is directing a script by Elizabeth Merriwether (New Girl) and Mark Hammer (Two Night Stand).

Lopez is also producing with his Nuyorican Productions partners, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina, alongside Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman of Mandeville.

Kravitz hasn’t starred in any films since an uncredited Zoolander 2 spin-off like himself, although he also played Cinna in The Hunger Games and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

The singer was recently spotted in Stella Artoiss’ Super Bowl ad, asking fans to invest in their own lives and become a ‘pulsating billionaire’.

Other film roles include Lee Daniels’ The Butler and Precious, as well as appearances in Star, The Simpsons and Better Things.
