In a statement, the Chicago Police Department said it “takes this incident seriously” and “Members of the department who violate the city’s COVID orders will be held responsible”.
The city of Chicago cited more than 300 companies for violating several COVID-19 regulations since the pandemic began, officials said earlier.
Companies cited for violating COVID-19 restrictions can receive two citations with a potential fine of up to $ 10,500, said the Department of Commercial Affairs and Consumer Protection. If a company repeatedly violates regulations, they may face prolonged closure.
