GTA 6 can be launched in October 2023 and can be set in Miami, according to new details of a dubious leaker online.
As cataloged on Reddit, the anonymous hijacker stated that the open-world crime sequence will focus on a single male protagonist in Florida in the 1970s, with a chapter story that is similar in structure to Red Dead Redemption 2, but apparently “no” exactly [as] emotional”.
Interestingly (or perhaps too much of a coincidence), much of the leak corroborates what we heard earlier about Rockstar’s next project, including a smaller and denser scope for its open world, more advanced NPC AI and the fact that we’re several years away away, and it won’t be out anytime soon, as some expected.
In case it is not clear, it is worth accepting these new rumors with great skepticism, especially since the source does not provide a basis for verification and much of the list looks like a fan checklist, with promises of windsurfing, full adult content and the imminent release of a remastering of Red Dead Redemption to cheer up Rockstar fans in the meantime.
In fact, given that an “expanded and enhanced” version of GTA 5 is scheduled to launch on PS5 later this summer, we can’t imagine that Rockstar has anything else planned for the rest of the year in addition to ongoing updates for GTA Online and Red Dead Online.
