The NBA apparently has a lot of fake tough guys.
After the Golden State Warriors, striker Draymond Green accused Detroit Pistons winger Rodney McGruder of acting like a “tough guy” after a post-game exchange between McGruder and Juan Toscano-Anderson, Wayne Ellington from Detroit replied:
Here were Draymond’s (NSFW) comments on the exchange:
Klay Thompson also had some ideas about McGruder in the transmission booth:
According to Green’s comments, McGruder was “assuming for Wayne Ellington “when he started to see on the Tuscan-Anderson bench and on the Warriors bench after the game:
“I also think it was something Juan said in the first or second period to Wayne Ellington. You have nothing better to do that you are still thinking about something from the first or second period when you were not in the game. So, apparently, Wayne Ellington should to have gone to the bank. I think he went and told Rodney McGruder because he wasn’t in the game. Yes, I don’t know. “
Therefore, there is no love lost between warriors (11-9) and pistons (5-15).
Small talk is common in the NBA, but for Green and Thompson to tear up McGruder so publicly and wildly – which averages 2.8 points in five minutes per game (four appearances in total) for the next-generation Pistons – it seemed a little more malicious than most comings and goings.
Clearly, McGruder said something to Toscano-Anderson that the pair couldn’t take. After all, it is a fun show for the rest of us.
