One thing we can always count on Chrissy Teigen for is sharing her life experiences frankly and openly, regardless of criticism. In December, the model revealed that she decided to stay sober after reading Holly Whitaker’s book, Quit Like a Woman: The Radical Choice to Not Drink in a Culture Obsessed by Alcohol. Since then, Teigen has shared how happy he is now that he is sober and recently went to Instagram to reveal another sweet side of his sobriety.
By Insider, the Wishes author shared videos of herself in bed with tons of desserts in her Instagram story. Their snacks included Milkbar cookies and pie, Salt & Straw ice cream and Yum Yum donuts. The channel shared this in a video, she said, “I don’t know what’s going on with me today.”

Teigen continued: “I like sweets very much. They say that when you stop drinking, you go crazy with sweets. ”“ I never really liked sweets so much before. I’m crazy now, ”she added. Teigen’s cravings for sugar are not uncommon for someone who has recently sobered up and, in fact, is quite common.
For many, cutting the alcohol in their lives means having a strong taste for sweets due to the lack of sugar they consume while drinking. On the way out, both alcohol and sugar increase our dopamine levels, so it’s a natural reaction to gravitate towards sweets when alcohol is no longer an option.

Teigen first shared the news of his sobriety in the comments of an Instagram post on his vacation.
Beside a clip of herself dancing, she wrote: “good morning !!!” In response to the enthusiastic video (with Teigen bursting with energy), a user wrote: “I need all the drugs you are taking !!” Teigen then responded by saying that she was “4 weeks sober”.
