When Washington Capitals left for the second period, they were losing 3-0. When they left the ice for the second break, they were 5-3 after creating an insane comeback.
Zdeno Chara scored the final goal of the period – his first as Capital – after hitting a corner kick and defeating the oppressed Semyon Varlamov.
What happened next was the best moment of the 2020-21 season in the capitals so far.
