11 more Mainers die and another 662 cases of coronavirus are reported across the state

Another 11 Maine residents died while health officials reported on Tuesday another 662 cases of coronavirus across the state.

The number of coronavirus cases diagnosed in the last 14 days across the state is 7,393. This is an estimate of the current number of active cases in the state, as the Maine CDC is no longer tracking recoveries for all patients. That decreased from 7,411 on Monday.

Tuesday marked a sharp rise in new cases, after three consecutive days that saw them drop to less than 400. It is still a long way from the Maine record of 824, just two weeks ago. In the past 10 days, there have been six cases with less than 400 cases, a trend of lower cases not seen in the state for some time.
