Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. had a heated conversation with George Stephanopoulos of ABC News on Sunday about challenging the 2020 presidential election with the Republican lawmaker questioning the anchor’s journalistic integrity.
Stephanopoulos began the controversial interview by asking Paul if he accepts the “fact” that the “election was not stolen”. Paul responded by insisting that the “debate” about electoral fraud should take place and acknowledged how the evidence for various claims was never examined, since legal cases were “dropped” by the courts.
While Paul listed several irregularities that could be contested or overturned by the Supreme Court, including secretaries of state who unilaterally changed electoral laws by skipping the legislative process, Stephanopoulos grew tired.
