Techland mentioned earlier this month that it will soon share more details of its next open-world action game. Dying Light 2. Although we haven’t heard anything specific from the developer so far in 2021, if a new leak proves to be accurate, we may end up learning more soon.
Recently, an image from the Collector’s Edition leaked that Dying Light 2 pride is said to have found its way onto the internet. The image would have appeared on a retail store’s website, although it was removed. It is said that this version of the game comes with a variety of extras that the basic iteration itself will not have. Some of these additional items include a steel book box, an art book, a flashlight and a handful of stickers. The most notable item in the collection, however, is a statue that shows the game’s main protagonist using parkour to launch himself at a zombified enemy.

Since we cannot verify the accuracy of this image, it is worth stressing that you should consider all of this carefully. While the collector’s edition for Dying Light 2 being portrayed here seems quite legitimate, it could easily be a scam. People have become really good at creating prototypes like this over the years.
That said, if this is really the real collector’s edition for Dying Light 2, that means some things. For starters, Techland appears to be in the preparation stages to make this version of the game available for pre-sale, if it has been populated on retail sites. Second, it also tells us that the studio really intends to make some kind of new development for Dying Light 2 relatively soon. The last time we saw the game was in 2019, before it was postponed indefinitely in early 2020.
Right now, all we know for sure is that when Dying Light 2 is released, it will arrive on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC. If there are any major developments related to the game in the near future, we will let you know at our coverage center right here.
