Universal and Sony release dates revamped after No Time to Die – / Movie

Last Night In Soho release date

Update: Disney reformulated some releases after the No time to die delay too. See more information below.

In no time, No time to die triggered a domino effect of reshaping the release date of Sony and Universal. After yesterday’s Bond film delay, Edgar Wright’s release dates Night spent in Soho, the star of Bob Odenkirk No one, Ghostbusters: life after death, the protagonist of Tom Holland Unknownand Jared Leto Morbius all have been rearranged.

Universal and Focus Features wasted no time in reorganizing its theatrical release schedule after the six-month delay. No time to die, announcing that No one, the action film starring Bob Odenkirk, will return two months to April 2, 2021, by Variety. The revenge movie was supposed to have a wide release on February 26, but with theaters probably closed due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) during the winter (and let’s be honest, during the spring too), this release date was evacuated. Meanwhile, Michael Bay’s Ambulance is set to receive a launch on President’s Day over the weekend in February 18, 2022. The project produced and directed by Bay stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Eiza Gonzalez.

Focus Features also announced a new date for Edgar Wright’s mysterious psychological thriller Night spent in Soho, which is six months late, from April 23 to October 22, 2021. Set in London and written by Wright and Krysty Wilson-Cairns, Last night in London features a star cast that includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie, Matt Smith, Michael Ajao, Synnøve Karlsen, Diana Rigg, Terence Stamp and Rita Tushingham. Wright has been a passionate supporter of the cinematic experience and has posted about the new release date on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Sony was quick to follow suit with the redesign of Universal’s release schedule. Despite the fervor over the recently released image of the new horrible ghost of Ghostbusters: life after death, Sony rejected Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters sequel in five months to November 11, 2021, its second delay after it was originally scheduled for July 2020.

Meanwhile, the time-consuming Unknown unsurprisingly, he was pushed back again, until next year in February 11, 2022. It was originally planned for mid-July 2021, although it has been under construction in some way since 2008, adding to its legacy as a film that will probably never be released or seen by mortal eyes.

Sony has also changed release dates to Morbius, the Marvel superhero movie starring Jared Leto, who changed to January 21, 2022. Camila Cabello Cinderella, originally scheduled for February 5, will now open in theaters in July 16, 2021. Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway jumped to a new release date again, going from April 2nd to June 11, 2021.

Update: It seems that Disney is the latest studio to follow the cue from Universal and Sony, moving two titles from 20th Century Studios: delay The king’s man from March 12 to August 20, 2021, and taking the excited The Bob’s Burgers film, originally dated April 9, 2021, totally outside the release schedule, for The Hollywood Reporterfrom the Borys Kit.

Stay tuned, as other studios are likely to follow the example of Universal and Sony.
