Megan Thee Stallion is clearing things up, calling rumors that the criminal charges against Tory Lanez have been dropped from ‘false news’.
Singer WAP, 25, addressed unfounded gossip on Twitter on Thursday, telling readers she is tired of ‘watching people lie and turn [her] trauma in a joke ‘while calling Lanez an’ abuser ‘.
Megan accused Tory, 28, of shooting both feet after an argument after a party last October.
He was later arrested and later charged with two serious firearms crimes by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, but pleaded not guilty during a November hearing.

At the time, police also confirmed that he was facing ‘a firearm charge and that he personally inflicted major injuries’ on ‘a friend in the Hollywood Hills’.
This week’s tweets alleging that Lanez – real name Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterso – was off the hook citing images from a Los Angeles county court website that did not show a pending trial date as evidence.
But Megan – whose full name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete – said the case was still ongoing, as she shared her frustration in a series of tweets.
‘AT THIS POINT I’M GETTING ANGRY!’ she wrote. ‘STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING THAT YOU READ ON THE MF INTERNET.
‘Imagine how it feels to wake up every day watching people lie and turn my trauma into a joke?’
The Texas native then accused Lanez and his team of fabricating stories, writing: ‘This entire team finds ways to create doubts about my story every week and the media swallows it up.’

Supporting Miss Pete’s claims, a representative from the Los Angeles County Attorney’s Office told the Complex that the next court date for the case is set for February 25, after the hearing date originally reported on January 20.
Megan’s tweet became the subject for the public, wondering why she was becoming a villain, even though she was the alleged victim.

“Trauma is real,” continued rapper Savage.

Lanez’s team confirmed Pete’s claims on Thursday in a statement to New York Times music reporter Joe Coscarelli.

He tweeted: ‘A representative for Tory Lanez says it IS NOT TRUE that the charges against him in the shooting of Megan Thee’s Stallion have been dropped:’ The blog that posted this information is wrong. I assume the summary has not been updated … The next hearing is in mid-February. ”
Lanez’s representatives were more astute in a statement to Page Six, saying: ‘The fake report came from a d-list blogger (I can’t even find their contact) who can’t read a court record.’
Another source also clarified that Megan has nothing to do if the case is dismissed.
“The LA district attorney’s office filed the charges against him, not Megan, so only they could drop the charges,” said the source. “But the reality is that he will have to deal with the consequences of his actions.”
If convicted, Lanez faces up to 22 years and eight months in state prison.
But he adopted an optimistic tone on his own Twitter on Thursday, posting: ‘I will continue my 2021 without any problems … I just want to make great content for my fans.’
