Elizabeth Olsen is probably best known for kicking the thug’s butt in the Avengers films (and now in the recently launched spinoff series WandaVision) but at that time, she was better known as the younger sister of some very famous twins. If her name or the fact that she looks exactly like them doesn’t alert you, Elizabeth is the younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen. But, it seems, she also has a few other siblings.
You have her older brother, as well as a younger half sister and half brother from your father’s second marriage, giving you a total of six Olsen children, which, TBH, seems like a crazy amount. Like, how they didn’t end up with a Keeping upEsque own show? I think I can safely say that we would all be tuned in to get some BTS secrets about being a Marvel superhero, or to take a peek at the ~ creative process ~ of Mary-Kate and Ashely, right?
But with these super-talented genes running in the family, you know that even the lesser-known Olsens are all leading their own very successful lives. So, if you’ve always wanted to know more about all of Elizabeth’s brothers, here is everything you need to know about each of them.
James Trent Olsen
Older brother Olsen managed to stay out of the spotlight most of the time, although he did have a few cameos in his younger sisters You are invited to Mary-Kate and Ashley’s slumber party and The case of the mystery cruise where he threw himself. But TBH, he was a brilliant businessman from a young age and sold his famous twin sisters’ autographs to other children at school. You have to respect the excitement!
He goes by the middle name, Trent, but it was his first name, James, (along with Elizabeth, duh) that inspired the name of Mary-Kate and Ashely’s fragrance line: Elizabeth and James.
Olsen, now 36, graduated from the New York Film Academy, where he studied script and acting, and now works in film production, so no totally outside the industry. He is also a successful comic book writer for Storm King Comics.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
If you still don’t know Mary-Kate and Ashley and their endless empire, I’m sorry, but what color is the rock you are living under? The twins kind of set the child star precedent in their family after they got their role in Full house only six months old, and they even gave Elizabeth some of her first performances in both Full house and How fun the West was when she was just a child.
They are now 34 years old and have completely abandoned acting to focus on their fashion empire. And Mary-Kate has been making headlines recently thanks to her verrrry Olivier Sarkozy’s public divorce.
A funny fact that you probably don’t know: Mary-Kate and Ashley are actually fraternal * GASP * twins. That’s right, even though they look like a copy and paste of each other, they are not identical twins. These must be some very consistent genes!
Courtney Taylor Olsen
Elizabeth’s younger half sister, Courtney, is the daughter of her father, David Olsen, and his second wife, McKenzie Olsen. She is now 25 years old, but in her youth, she had some film roles, as did her older sisters. According to her IMDB, she can be seen at YOLO: The Movie and Evil spirits: sense of fiction.
She also has an active Instagram where she doesn’t post too a lot of celebrity sibling content, but it gave Elizabeth at least one cute supportive sister at the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War where she wrote “Just admiring my tough sister”.

Jake Olsen
The youngest Olsen is definitely the most difficult of the six brothers to define, because he seems to have been totally off the radar in recent years. He is now 23, but unlike most At 23, he hadn’t played on Instagram in almost four years! He tried to model a few years ago and in an interview with Track, he talked about what it was like to grow up with so many brothers.
“In a family of six, you learn that it’s not always about you. I love every chaotic moment I have when my family is all together. It’s much more normal than you would think … we all support each other’s dreams. “
