Hellblade 2 actress teases Xbox X series game in new Twitter post

Outside of the game’s initial reveal trailer at the Game Awards in 2019, we didn’t see anything new from Senua saga: Hellblade II. The next Xbox Series X game still appears to be in active development, especially if a new provocation from one of the most prominent names linked to the project is something to take advantage of.

Recently identified on Twitter, Melina Juergens, who plays Senua on both Hellblade games, posted a photo of herself wearing pretty recognizable makeup. The marks on his face were similar to the ones Senua was seen using in the reveal trailer for Hellblade II. Juergens didn’t comment much on the makeup directly, nor did he mention why he was wearing it. Instead, she simply posted the photo with the caption: “For every battle won, a bigger battle takes its place.”

The main question that this image raises comes with why Juergens was displaying it in the first place. She is doing motion capture work for Hellblade II now and just wanted to look a little more? Or did she just decide to put this on to amuse and enthuse fans? No matter what the answer is, it doesn’t change the course of game development. Still, it is definitely curious and may suggest that more information about the title may arrive soon.

Senua saga: Hellblade II does not yet have a release date, or even a launch window, but there is a good chance that we will start hearing more about it later in the year. For now, all we know for sure is that it will be exclusive to Xbox Series X / S and PC.
