New coach Robert Saleh is already successful with the Jets

Two of Jets’ biggest and youngest stars are thrilled with the new team coach.

Shortly after it was announced that 49ers’ defensive coordinator Robert Saleh had been hired to take over the Jets, striker Quinnen Williams and striker Mekhi Becton expressed their unconditional support for the move.

“YESSS SIRRRRRRRRRR,” Williams wrote on Twitter along with an emoji of hands praying, flexing and firing.

Becton made a similar post writing: “YESSSS SIRRRRR !!!!! LET’S WORK THE COACH !!!!! ”He also included a GIF of someone beating his fists in excitement.

Williams is coming out of a successful second season with the Jets and appears to be the cornerstone of the defense. Becton received high praise as a newcomer protecting Sam Darnold and could be the anchor of the offensive line for years to come.

Salah, 41, who goes to the Jets, who finished 2 to 14, received the endorsement of ex-Jet Damien Woody, who is also an ESPN analyst.

“It’s the first time in a long time that I feel that #Jets are really on the right track,” Woody tweeted.

49ers security guard Richard Sherman was also a fan of the movement.

“@Nyjets had a great time! Congratulations to them! ”, Pro Bowler posted on Twitter.

He also made a bold prediction in a message to NFL reporter Albert Breer.

“Good choice!” Sherman wrote. “It will change that whole culture!”

According to Breer, 49ers general manager John Lynch called Saleh “a tremendously talented leader” and said the Jets are “very fortunate”.
