‘No Time To Die’ set to leave on Easter weekend for fall release – Deadline

In what shouldn’t be a shock, we are hearing that MGM / Eon’s No time to die it is bound to shift from its launch over Easter weekend, April 2, to sometime in the fall, while the world expects this pandemic to come under control. Several sources informed us this morning. Note that the United Kingdom is a key market in No time to dielaunch, and they’re facing a situation similar to that of the US: they don’t know exactly when the exhibition will be fully up and running.

The leak of the film directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga began yesterday at the Dutch website BN DeStem, in which the Dutch exhibitor Carlo Lambregts revealed that he heard No time to die it was going from Easter weekend to November. We heard separately this morning that 007 promotional partners have already been notified that Daniel Craig’s final film is set to move into autumn. No definitive release date has been set yet, although Lambregts speaks ill.

MGM, which has domestic in No time to die, and Universal, which serves foreigners, made no comment when reached.

MGM showed the film to streamers, with a reported asking price of $ 600 million, but none of them were willing to pay even half that. The photo is a steamroller for MGM’s financial sustainability, and the studio is adamant about protecting the film’s global theatrical window, given the riches that can rain from Craig 007’s final photo.

Bond’s last film Spectrum, raised $ 880.6 million in 2015, while Sky fall, launched in 2012, it represented the highest photo 007 ever, at $ 1.1 billion. Those outside of MGM who saw the film say it is incredible and worth the wait.
