As far as we have seen from a Clarice Starling through the many adaptations of the Thomas Harris literature over the years, almost all of the big shot stories, the young FBI agent focused on his relentless search to find and arrest serial killers. The new of Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet Clarice CBS series wants to change things up a bit.
When you are introduced to Rebecca Breeds’ vision of Starling, she is at a point in her career where she has already captured the serial killer antagonist of Silence of the innocents, Jame “Buffalo Bill” Gumb, and made his name as someone within the agency with a real ability to get the job done right. But while Clarice’s temperament and ability to perceive the intentions of others is what really makes her such a skilled researcher, what do you see in Claricefirst full trailer is that her talents make her a target within the FBI – someone at least some of your colleagues see how be out of her departmentH.
While people are running around the Washington DC area murdering people, Clarice is tasked with overcoming the obstacles and expectations of everyone who wants her to fail. It’s a challenge that Starling is more than capable, but as you can see in the final moments of the trailer, it won’t be long before your line of work ends up putting it right in the middle of a danger that no one should have to deal with.
Big as Bryan Fuller cannibal looms in Clariceshadowed by obvious reasons, it seems that the shows will exist in very different spaces both in terms of tone and style, despite their shared subject. If Clarice it turns out to be a compelling story that will take him back to this blood-soaked world of sick murderers that will depend on what kind of exciting tales he begins to weave when the series opens on CBS on February 11.
Clarice—Which also stars Lucca De Oliveira, Devyn A. Tyler, Kal Penn, Nick Sandow, Michael Cudlitz and Marnee Carpenter–debut on CBS on February 11th.
