It’s Wednesday, now three days away from Doug Pederson’s seat by Jalen Hurts that so many noticed in the tank (and if it was, it was a good thing!) And that no one will care anytime soon.
But that is still being talked about by Eagles players, including running back Miles Sanders, who said “nobody liked the decision, nobody”.
On Wednesday, it was pivot Jason Kelce who logged on to Instagram to post his long thoughts, and they focused mainly on Nate Sudfeld, the QB who replaced Hurts in a tight game against the Washington Football Team. It may be useful to clarify Sudfeld, given the number of people who criticized Pederson for bringing him.
Some tips: Kelce asked Pederson if he was taking Hurts out and then the center started working with “Suddy”.
“At no time was anything from me or anyone else confronting,” he wrote. “We all knew before the game that Sudfeld should be ready to play and that Doug wanted to see what he could do in a game situation.”
He went on to talk about the team’s confidence in Sudfeld and that he “is a guy we can win against”.
In short, it’s a good way to calm some of that, a veteran leader basically saying, without harm, without fail, let’s move on. Good decision.
