Pink’s hot dog stall closes for several months

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) – Pink’s hot dog stand in Hollywood will close for a few months starting on Sunday.

There was a long line surrounding the building on Sunday, customers stopping for supplies before the temporary closure.

Steven Lee was first in line in the morning.

“I had to come as soon as I heard they were going to be closed for two months because my birthday is February – February 21st – and this is usually one of my stops.

Owners say that with local hospitals overcrowded, they do not want to risk an employee or customer becoming ill during the current peak of COVID-19.

This is only Pink’s second shutdown in its 81-year history. The first lasted five months last year, at the beginning of the pandemic.

Pink hopes to reopen in March.
