CLEVELAND – Nick Chubb wasted no time giving the Cleveland Browns an early lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
He pushed his way through the Pittsburgh defense – then passed Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick – to put Cleveland 7-0 with a 47-yard touchdown run.
Chubb had 61 yards on the initial launch, putting him over 1,000 yards in the season.
Chubb is the first Browns player to run for a 40-yard touchdown against the Steelers since Jim Brown scored 48 yards on October 19, 1958, according to Elias.
The touchdown gave him 12 straight points in the year – the maximum Browns player since Leroy Kelly scored 16 in 1968.
