Emily Mitchell of Rhode Island managed the Instagram account The Hidden Way, where she had more than 112,000 followers.

She died “unexpectedly on the morning of December 22, 2020”, according to a GoFundMe account created for her family.

“Our dear Emily and her precious unborn baby left us unexpectedly on the morning of December 22, 2020. Our hearts are broken and your joyful presence will be sorely missed by many. Em had a great impact on the lives of many people, and this loss is incomprehensible to those who met her, ”reads GoFundMe. “Our friend was a dedicated mother and wife, she had a heart for the Lord and loved her children very much.”

According to GoFundMe, the young mother was having breakfast and coffee when she “suddenly went unanswered”, with her family and medical staff unable to save her.

The cause of her death is currently unknown. The fundraiser claims that “doctors are still working on answers for their family”

In an obituary for Mitchell, she is described as “a devoted wife and an incredible mother to her four children” who “had a deep faith that was the basis for everything in her life”.

“Beautiful inside and out, Emily had an infectious smile and a kind and compassionate spirit. Her exuberant personality radiated externally in her interactions and relationships with everyone who knew her. Emily was a symbol of strength during the most challenging times for so many ”, says the obituary, adding that the 36-year-old was also a“ talented musician, singer, singer and music teacher ”.

Mitchell, who had children, Finn, Isla, Eden and Luna with her husband Joseph Mitchell, announced for the first time that she was expecting her fifth child in November, when she shared a photo of her and her husband holding an ultrasound.

“YOU GUYS. NUMBER FIVE. Who guessed the secret? !!! You probably noticed that I’ve been a little MIA … it helps to be the reason lol,” she captioned the photo, adding that she was 11 weeks pregnant .

In Mitchell’s most recent photo, shared on December 8, she revealed that the pregnancy would be her fifth cesarean section and celebrated all trips to the maternity hospital.

“My plan was to never have five caesarean sections. But you can be sure that I am extremely grateful for them. Even though I suffered for the first time from losing what the ‘true experience of motherhood’ should be, ”she wrote at the time. “How do I feel now? It doesn’t matter how they get here. It only matters THAT THEY GET HERE. And they are so deeply LOVED. “

As of Friday, GoFundMe for the Mitchell family raised $ 150,410, exceeding its $ 100,000 goal.
