Furthermore, he reveals what would happen if Captain Kirk tried to hit Wonder Woman …
If you had told me that watching Chris Pine improvise while trying on 80s clothes in Wonder Woman 1984 it would be one of my favorite scenes in the anticipated DC sequel, I would never have believed you. But in a film filled with huge action and dramatic challenges, Pine offers a welcome levity that shows off his comic skills.
Shortly after seeing the film, I talked to Chris Pine about going back as Steve Trevor. During the short but fun interview, Pine talks about what would happen if Captain Kirk tried to hit Wonder Woman in an alternate universe, if he asked Patty Jenkins’ about getting a role in your next Star Wars movie Rogue Squad, and what it was like to shoot the clothes scene and if he thought it would look so good.
As you all know, Wonder Woman 1984 finds Gal Gadot‘s Wonder Woman living in 1984 and facing Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal), media entrepreneur and celebrity from the TV infomercial. He’s not the only villain in the film, however, as Kristen Wiig fills the role of Barbara Ann Minerva, also known as Cheetah. Also, Pine is somehow back as Steve Trevor …
See what Chris Pine has to say below. Further down the page is exactly what we talked about and the official synopsis.
Chris Pine:
-
He asked Patty Jenkins about how to get a role in his next Star Wars movie Rogue Squad?
-
If Captain Kirk found Wonder Woman in some alternate universe, would she give him the time of day?
-
Did he ever think that your character trying on clothes would be one of the best scenes in a big budget superhero movie?
