Young thugThe last stop of your Let’s-Disrespect-Rap-Legends tour arrives at the door of Jay-Z … that he claims not to have dozens of songs that people know by heart, unlike him.
YT made the controversial comment on an episode of the Barstool podcast ‘Millions of $ at stake‘… where Thug proudly claims that his own songs are hymns – songs that an entire stadium can play along with him in the fall of a penny.

He went on to say that this is very rare in hip-hop – and then invoked Jigga’s name saying, “Jay-Z doesn’t have 30 songs like that, where the whole stadium sings.” Thug immediately got a strange break from almost everyone in the room … with Gillie from Kid trying to be nice and fix it, saying Jay HAS a lot (an understatement).
Young Thug tried to back off a little, explaining that he wasn’t specifically targeting Jay – but simply using him as an example of rappers he saw performing where, apparently, the majority of the crowd doesn’t know a song. It is a statement that raises eyebrows and here’s why.
Jay’s catalog is incredibly deep – he has literally 100 songs that appeared on Billboard’s Hot 100 … 21 of them went to the Top 10 and 4 went to # 1. Young Thug, on the other hand, has 4 Top 10s and two # 1s. It is not close.

Of course, his chance for Jay – which is being destroyed online – comes a month after he spoke openly about a colleague from Atlanta … none other than OutKast’s Andre 3000.
During an appearance in YOUOn the ‘ExpediTIously’ podcast, Thug said he couldn’t rap two 3000 songs to save his life … adding that he never paid attention to the guy and also stated Dre he wants the younger generation of rappers to kiss his ass. All kinds of garbage, actually.

One last thing … Thug apparently has bad blood with Lil Wayne also, and says he thinks he is qualified to face Weezy in a battle of Verzuz … because of his equal “influence”.
Somebody come and get this man, please.
