Chrishell Stause understands – but is not apologizing for – criticism of his family’s Christmas reunion amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The “Selling Sunset” star, 39, addressed the angry comments from fans left in a series of photos of the group she shared – saying that she and her family auditioned for COVID-19 before and after the celebration.
“For those who mention Covid’s concerns, I understand and agree that it was not a good use of my platform. I usually always try to be socially responsible with my posts because I am a naturally compassionate person. I can see how it doesn’t show it to some, ”she wrote on Instagram.
Stause, whose boyfriend Keo Motsepe was also in the photos, said her followers may not agree with the group’s meeting, but she hopes they can “see where I’m coming from.”
“This is the first Christmas without our mother that we consider important because we are present in a difficult year,” she wrote.
Stause’s mother died of cancer in the summer. Her father died in 2019.
As for Motsepe, she said: “Keo brought such a welcome happiness and I selfishly posted it in a very happy moment”.
Stause – who split from “This Is Us” star Justin Hartley last year – confirmed his romance with Motsepe, a professional with “Dancing with the Stars”, earlier this month. She and Hartley were married for two years.
